Product Information
Versatile Nitrile (NBR) foam rubber
VR Trade supplies a wide range of Nitrile foam (cellular) rubber sheets. Nitrile also known as NBR is a synthetic rubber produced from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and 1,3 butadien and is also known as Nitrile, Perbunan, Buna-N and Hycar. In the production of cellular-rubber PVC is added. NBR has excellent resistance to water, oil, fuel and other petroleum products. It is superior to most elastomers in compression set, cold flow and abrasion resistance. NBR possesses a moderate to average resistance to ozone, sunlight, weather, it does not, however, possess good resistance to aromatic oils, halogenated hydrocarbons, ketones, brake fluids or strong acids. Temperature range -40°C to +100°C.
The sheets and strips are used for sealing two surfaces or gaps in a specific appliance. Various industrial sectors use our products from construction and electrical to lighting and automotive Companies. Sheets are used for sound deadening purposes, leakage prevention, airflow reduction, packaging purposes as well as insulation, cushioning and shock absorption.
Execution
The NBR cellular rubber is available in strips, sheets and plates. The strips are cut by VR Trade at the time the order is placed. This guarantees a good glue layer. The strips, sheets and plates can be supplied with or without one side self adhesive.
